백작은 여왕 앞에서 방구를 뀌고 말았다. 백작은 자신의 방구가 너무나도 부끄러워 조국을 떠났다. 7년의 타향살이가 꿈결처럼 지나갔다. “여왕 폐하도 이제 내 방구를 다 잊으셨겠지. 기억도 못하실 거야. 그만 돌아가자.” 백작은 귀국했다.

조국으로 돌아온 백작은 여왕을 알현했다. 여왕은 따뜻한 미소로 백작을 맞았다. 이렇게 말하면서. “나는 경의 방구를 다 잊었다오.”

5.18 망언의 세 주인공들이 작심하고 왕방구를 뀌었다. 광주시민 앞에서, 국민 앞에서 개방구를 뀌었다. 그들은 개처럼 쫓겨 나라를 떠났다.

방구쟁이들의 7년 타향살이가 꿈결처럼 지나갔다. “대한민국 국민도, 광주 시민도 이제 우리들 방구를 잊으셨겠지. 그만 돌아갑시다.” 방구쟁이들이 귀국했다.

국민은 조국으로 돌아온 방구쟁이들을 따뜻한 미소로 맞았다. 이렇게 말하면서. “다시 나가.”

전설의 방구

Earle of Oxford, making of his low obeisance to Queen Elizabeth, happened to let a Fart, at which he was so abashed and ashamed that he went to Travell, 7 yeares. On his returne the Queen welcomes him home, and sayd, My Lord, I had forgott the Fart.”

방구쟁이 백작

Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford(1550–1604), who supposedly farted in front of Queen Elizabeth I. an English peer and courtier of the Elizabethan era. his reckless and volatile temperament precluded him from attaining any courtly or governmental responsibility and contributed to the dissipation of his estate. De Vere travelled widely throughout Italy and France. He was among the first to compose love poetry at the Elizabethan court, and he was praised as a playwright, though none of the plays known as his survive.

He fell out of favour with the Queen in the early 1580s and was exiled from court after impregnating one of her maids of honour, Anne Vavasour, which instigated violent street brawls between de Vere's retainers and her uncles. After his wife's death, he married Elizabeth Trentham, one of the Queen's maids of honour, with whom he had an heir, Henry de Vere. He died in 1604, having spent the entirety of his inherited estates.
