(2) 정보로 흥한 거지여왕

그녀는 도시 최초의 거지였다. 그녀는 거지들의 지도자로 성장했다. 세상은 그녀를 여왕이라 부르기 시작했다.

거지는 어떻게 여왕이 됐을까. 그녀는 정보 장사에 나섰다. 처음엔 주민들의 시시한 정보를 사고 팔며 돈을 벌었다. 시간이 흐르면서 그녀는 도시의 중요한 정보와 비밀에 접근했고, 그에 따라 수입도 막대해졌다.

돈을 번 여왕은 고아들에게 잠자리와 음식을 주기 위해 고아원을 세웠다. 아이들은 도시 구석구석을 돌아다니며 온갖 정보를 물어왔다. 마침내 그녀는 도시의 모든 정보를 주무를 수 있었다. 그녀는 이재용보다 더 많은 돈을 벌었다. 그녀는 숨은 권력자였다. 그녀가 곧 도시였고, 도시가 곧 그녀였다.

사실 그녀에 대해서는 알려진 게 거의 없다. 아무도 그녀의 정체를 몰랐다. 외모는 끔찍했으며 몸에서는 참을 수 없는 냄새가 풍겼다. 그러나 그녀는 지혜로운 자였으며 선이 편에 선 의로운 자였다.

어느날 그녀는 사원의 지하실에서 죽음을 맞이했다. 그날 그녀를 한줌 재로 만들기 위해 불의 악마[火魔]들이 초청됐다. 그녀에게 남은 것은 이동식 왕좌, 그것 하나였을 뿐이다.

아참, 미확인 진실 뉴스지만 윤석열에게 남긴 유언장이 있었다고 한다. “나는 정보로 아름다운 삶을 살았지만 윤석열처럼 더러운 판사 사찰은 하지 않았다. 윤석열은 훗날 재가 되어 무엇을 남기려 하는가.”

여왕은 Terry Pratchett의 <Discworld> 시리즈 중 <Men at Arms>에 등장하는 인물입니다요~.

‘정보 수집’의 여왕

"Queen" Molly. 최초의 거지이자 거지들의 지도자. 끔찍한 외모와 참을 수 없는 체취.... The first beggar in Anhk-Morpork. The leader of the Beggars Guild in Anhk-Morpork. She invested in buying information. Despite her appearance (and smell) she is a sharp woman who knows what's going on in the street.

정보 장사에 나서다

처음엔 자잘한 정보를 거래하며 돈을 벌었으나 점점 중요한 정보에 접근. She invested in buying information, small things to begin with, the secrets of husbands and wives, sons and daughters, mistresses. This she sold and hid away what money she managed to save. She built her way up into bigger and better secrets, making more and more money.

고아원 차려 정보센터로 만들다

고아원은 도시의 정보센터로 발전한다.  At some point she opened her first orphanage, taking in the lost children of the city, although many questioned her intentions no one really cared enough to try and stop her. These orphans soon became known as Mollys Children and ultimately she put them to work as her network of ears and eyes about the City in exchange for a place to sleep and basic food. Over time Molly developed her orphanage into a full fledged guild and her children became the members, she soon became the center of all information within the city.

재벌이 되다

It is almost certain that she is the most wealthy person in Anhk-Morpork, and most people believe her to be the most wealthy person in the world.

최후

그녀를 한줌 재로 만들기 위해 불의 악마[火魔]들이 소환됐다. 그녀는 지혜로운 자였으며 선이 편에 선 의로운 자였다.  She met her demise in the basement of the Temple of Lux in Morpork, during the funeral of Hirsa((Fallen. 이 여자 더 알고 싶으면 ‘심화학습’ 보셔). Lyras summoning of fire demons to eradicate the party ultimately led her to being incinerated, leaving behind only her portable throne. No one really knows how old she actually is, as no one can remember a time of Anhk-Morpork without her.

여왕

The current Queen of the Beggars' Guild. Wears tattered old dresses and, because of the Guild's charter, a tattered velvet gown. She has warts with their own sub-warts on them and hair that Sergeant Angua von Überwald thought of as 'looking as though it had been permed by a hurricane with treacle on its fingers.' As befitting her position, she is required to beg others for the most extravagant goods, though even with her sheer hideousness few people are prepared to hand over a sixteen-room mansion to a beggar.

Her first horribly disfigured appearance is in Men at Arms, where her personal chambermaid Lettice Knibbs is killed in a case of mistaken identity when she tries on her employer's signature velvet gown.

Despite her appearance (and smell) she is a sharp woman who knows what's going on in the street and seems to genuinely support Lord Havelock Vetinari. In Feet of Clay she disdains the attempts by the other guild leaders to relieve Vetinari of his duties when he falls ill from arsenic poisoning, and warns Sam Vimes to watch his back against any attempts to frame him for Vetinari's poisoning. During the events of The Truth she is one of the few guild leaders who votes to adjourn rather than select the new Patrician, along with Mrs. Rosemary Palm of the Seamstresses' Guild, Mrs. Manger of the Launderers' Guild, and Miss Dixie "Va Va" Voom of the Guild of Ectysiasts, Nautchers, Cancanieres and Exponents of Exotic Dance.

Hirsa

Everyone knows the legends of Hirsa, the daughter of Lux, placed into the world to protect the people from the demons and devils that plagued it.

She is known as a powerful warrior and skilful tactician, being the daughter of Lux means she is gifted will all the abilities of the most powerful Paladins and Clergy by her name.

The most well known story is that of The Tear of Lux, the longsword wielded by Hirsa herself. She acquired it during an overwhelming battle against some of the greater demons that were enslaving a city of humans, she was loosing the battle, stripped of her weapon and exhausted from the 3 day long slaughter she had exacted on their spawn, she was on her knees and about to be slain when she cried out to her mother for help, Lux shed a tear for her daughter and it formed into a glorious Longsword names The Tear of Lux, wielding this blade Hirsa turned the tide of the battle and vanquished the last of the demons.

Little is known as to what happened to Hirsa beyond that point, but she was not seen again for thousands of years, when she appeared in the Temple of Lux in Morpork. At this point she revealed her plan for vengeance against the Gods for banishing her from the mortal realm and put her plan into action.

“윤석열 해명 참 어이없다, 판사는 바보입니까”

대법원이 윤석열 검찰총장을 고발해야 한다는 주장이 법원 내에서 나왔다. 윤 총장의 직무배제 핵심 사유인 ‘재판부 사찰’ 혐의와 관련해 당시 문건을 작성한 검사가 정당한 업무였음을 주장하자 현직 부장판사가 “판사는 바보냐”며 이를 비판하는 글을 올린 데서 시작됐다.

제주지법 장창국(53·연수원 32기) 부장판사는 25일 오전 법원 내부통신망에 ‘판사는 바보입니까’라는 제목의 글을 올리고 “제 글이 정치적으로 이용당할 것 같아 또는 판사 입장만 대변한다는 말을 들을까봐 고민하다가, 누군가는 문제를 제기해야 한다는 생각에 용기를 낸다”고 말문을 열었다.

그는 ‘공소유지 참고자료’ 명목으로 울산시장 선거개입 사건과 조국 전 법무부 장관 사건을 맡은 판사의 개인정보·성향이 담긴 보고서를 작성했다는 대검 측 해명을 두고 “참 어이가 없다”고 비판했다. 장 부장판사는 “재판부 뒷조사한 자료를 찢어버리고 작성자를 문책하는 것이 아니라 공소유지 즉 유죄 판결을 받기 위한 참고자료로 쓰라고 넘겼다는 것”이라며 “윤 총장의 지시로 그 문건을 만든 것이 아닌가 하는 의심도 든다”고 했다.

이어 “얼마나 공소 유지에 자신이 없었으면 증거로 유죄 판결을 받으려는 게 아니라 판사의 무의식과 생활 습관인 성향을 이용해 유죄 판결을 받으려고 했을까, 이런 생각을 했다”며 “그것은 재판부를 조종하겠다, 재판부 머리 위에 있겠다는 말과 같다”고 지적했다. 그러면서 “검찰총장이 국민이 아니라 검찰 조직을 위해 존재하고 조직에 충성할 때 이런 행동을 하는 게 아닌가라는 생각이 든다”고 덧붙였다.

또 장 부장판사는 “대법원 행정처에 부탁한다. 판사 뒷조사 문건이 무슨 내용이고 어떻게 작성됐는지 확인해달라”며 “책임자 문책을 요구하고 필요하면 고발도 해달라. 검찰을 못 믿겠다면 공수처도 좋다”고 말했다. 그러면서 “유리한 재판을 받으려는 이런 시도는 어떤 경우에도 예외 없이 용납되지 않는다는 것을 분명히 선언해달라”고 촉구했다.

앞서 추미애 법무부 장관은 대검찰청 수사정보정책관이 울산시장 선거개입과 조 전 장관 사건 등 주요 사건 재판부 판사들의 개인정보와 성향 자료를 수집해 윤 총장에게 보고했고, 윤 총장이 이를 반부패강력부에 전달하도록 지시했다고 밝혔다. 이에 대검 측은 어떤 판사가 증거 채택이 엄격한지 등 재판 스타일을 파악하기 위한 ‘공소 유지 참고자료’를 파악했으나 이는 모두 공개된 자료라고 반박했다. (국민일보 2020-11-25)
