박덕흠이란 자의 도둑질 규모가 기가 차다. 몇백억에서 시작해 불과 2~3일 사이에 수천억까지 치솟았다. 이 추세로 가면 조 단위까지 갈 수도 있겠다.

박덕흠은 박취처럼 두 세계를 오가는 도둑이었다. 낮에는 국회의원으로 행세하다 밤이 되면 도둑질을 했다. 도둑질은 박덕흠의 ‘언더 비즈니스’였다.

박덕흠은 국토위를 자신의 나와바리로 삼았다. 자신의 구역을 악착같이 지켜냈다. 그 안에서 도둑질을 했으니 고양이한테 생선가게를 맡긴 셈이다. 그 나와바리를 내준 것은 다름아닌 국민의힘이다. 근데, 왜?

한편 박 의원의 한자이름은 ‘朴德欽’이다. ‘덕흠(德欽)’이라는 한자는 ‘크게 공경 또는 존경 받을 사람’이라는 뜻이 담겨 있다. 그런데 여기서 ‘흠(欽)’이라는 한자어에는 ‘삼가다(몸가짐이나 언행을 조심하다)’라는 뜻도 함께 숨어 있다. 같은 당 '김태흠(金泰欽)' 의원과 같은 의미의 이름이다. 이름에 걸맞는 훌륭한 존재가 되려면 평소 행동거지부터 각별히 조심해야 한다는 전제가 깔려 있는 이름이기도 하다. (굿모닝충청)

태평양의 어느 섬 지역에 도둑놈들이 살고 있었다. 사람의 물건 따위를 훔쳐 살아가는 난쟁이 악귀들이었다. 도둑놈들은 ‘언더’ 그러니까 땅밑에 살았다. 매우 사악하고 위험한 놈들이었다. 복수심이 강해 누가 뭐라 하면 해코지를 했다.

지들 나와바리에 누가 들어오면 마구 죽여 버렸다. 누가 지들의 나와바리에 카바(kava) 농사를 지으려 들어왔는데 죽여 바위 위에 널어뒀다는 얘기도 전해져 내려온다.

옛날에 누군가가 이 도둑놈들이 얘기를 주고받는 걸 들었다. 그 소리가 박쥐소리처럼 매우 언짢고 불길했다고 한다.

생김새를 보자. 난쟁이다. 피부는 검은색이고 코는 납작하다. 이름이 비호감이다. 쪼까라이.

The dwarfs are thieves who frequently steal from humans. the goblin-like beings. (goblin은 유럽 민담 등에 등장하는 악귀.) 구글 도둑놈 수배자 명단에 얼굴이 보이지 않는 걸 보니 멸종한 것으로 추정된다.

A curious fact concerning this primitive race was supplied me by the Au of Marau shortly before leaving Ponape. The people at the mouth of the Palang River near the Chokach and Kiti border are said to have been descended from the Cltokalai, who it seems were not everywhere exterminated by the Malayo-Polynesian conquerors. The Au's description runs thus. "In the speech of the Palang folk is a most foolish undercurrent of chatter; they are shorter in stature, and their skins darker than their neighbours ; their noses are flat and they are known throughout the tribes as Maclta-en-Paikop or the Paz"kop-/aces.
