기우칸이란 일본 기생충이 있는데 이놈한테 감염된 사람은 마음의 병이 생긴다. 증세가 아주 고약하고 다양하다.

늘 기분이 언짢다. 아주 민감해져 눈으로 뭘 보든, 귀로 뭘 듣든 모든 것이 못마땅하다. 조급증도 생긴다. 전반적으로 극심한 불안증세를 보인다.

저 혼자 골방에서 지랄하면 누가 뭐라나. 주변 사람들에게 지랄하니 그게 문제다. 그래서 세상에 이 기생충에 감염된 사람이 하나만 있어도 세상이 어수선해진다.

“중권이, 니 나한테 똥개라 했나?”

기생충

기우칸(牛癇). 사람 폐에 기생하며 정신불안증 일으키는 버러지. a creature which causes distemper and irritability in children. infects the lungs. lives in the chest. Gyūkan, Kiukan.

생김새

소처럼 뿔이 달렸다. 세월이 흐르면 이 뿔이 점점 길어지고 날카로워진다. 어쭈구리 전쟁광 사무라이가 연상되는 뿔이다. A gyūkan is a kan no mushi which takes the shape of a cow. It has a long tongue and sharp hooves. The lower part of its body is red.

시간이 흐를수록...

뿔이 길어지고 날카로워진다. as it grows older its horns become longer and sharper, and recovery becomes more difficult.

처먹을 때를 기 막히게 알아챔

주인이 음식을 먹으면 벌떡 일어나 그걸 얻어 처먹는다. Gyūkan tend to act up when their hosts eat and drink. From their position in the lungs, they can sense when food enters the throat. They become very excited, and cause their hosts to faint.
