베트남 출신 아내를 무참하게, 그것도 두살 아들 앞에서 폭행하던 사악하고 못난 사내가 붙잡혔다. 폭행 동영상을 보니 아내를 주먹과 발로, 잔인하게 마구 때린다. 소주병도 휘두른다. 폭행의 이유가 가당찮다. "한국말이 서툴러서, 베트남 음식을 만들어서 폭행했다"는 것이다.

사내의 몸뚱아리는 악을 뿜어내는 더러운 문신으로 가득 덮혀 있다. 보니 싸구려 동네 양아치의 문신이다.

짐작컨대 저 못난 사내는 오래전부터 주변의 약자들에게 주먹을 휘둘러왔을 것이다. 대부분의 폭행은 반복되기 때문이다. 사내의 과거를 캐보면 전력이 드러날 것이다.

브라질에 어떤 사악하고 못난 놈이 살고 있었다. 놈은 눈만 뜨면 아내를 두둘겨 팼다. 잔인하며 반복적인 폭행이었다.

아내 폭행은 어느날 갑자기 생긴 버르장머리가 아니었다. 놈은 전력이 있었다. 결혼 전에 이미 부모를 밥먹듯 폭행하던 놈이었다. 힘이 생기면서부터 엄마를 폭행하던 놈이었다.

어느날 놈이 죽었다. 동네사람들은 놈을 묻곤 “더 이상 우리 앞에 악이 나타나지 않으리라”며 소주와 담배를 나눠 먹었다.

하지만 천국은 물론이요 심지어 지옥조차 놈을, 그 악을 받아들이지 않았다. 그리하여 놈은 죽었으나 죽지않은, 이승을 떠도는 존재가 되었다. 놈은 오늘도 괴물의 모습으로 출몰하며 전생의 악을 계속 이어가고 있다. 빨리 구속해서 감옥에 처넣어야 한다.

놈은 악을 뿜어내는 재수없는 얼굴과 몸뚱아리를 갖고 있다. 얼굴은 농포(膿疱)로 뒤덮혀 있으며, 몸뚱아리는 바싹 말라 주름지고 뒤틀려 있다.

추신. 피해 베트남 여성께 한국인으로서 죄송합니다. 얼른 몸도 마음도 치유되시기를 기원합니다. 정부는 이런 일이 재발되지 않도록 강력한 대책을 마련해주시길 바랍니다.

아내 두둘겨 패다 죽은 놈. 저주받아 저 세상으로 가지 못하고 이승을 배회. 천국도, 지옥도 놈을 받아들이지 않았다. the dry and undead body of a man who would beat his wife. He was not accepted into heaven or hell when he died, so he wanders on earth. Corpo Seco or Unhudo. 영어 별명 Dried Body, Big Nails.

The Corpo Seco is thought to have the power to dry out and kill trees, but also to suck the blood of humans on deserted roads in the dead of the night.

생김새

농포(膿疱)로 뒤덮힌 얼굴, 주름지고 뒤틀린 몸뚱아리. This creature was once described as having a "shriveled body with an ugly face full of pustules".

In life, Corpo-Seco was an evil young man who abused and beat his own mother. Rejected by both Heaven and Hell, he was returned to Earth, but even the ground where he was buried expelled his body. He is now said to haunt roads, attacking passersby and draining their blood.

“When he died, neither heaven nor hell accepted him then he had to stay in the earth, but he was not buried so long, so he went out and became an evil creature that is stuck in the trunks of the tree. If the Dry Body at least touches the trunk of the tree, it can dry and rot. Each person who passes by him, he gives a death embrace, because it has long nails and crushes the person in his embrace. In the interior of Sao Paulo there is a variant of this legend : it is said that when a person passes near the dry body, he jumps in the person and sucks all his blood. If no one passes by, he will die, because he feeds on human blood (like a vampire).”

There is also another legend about him.

“He was a very selfish and stingy farmer, who picked up his fruit so that everyone would not pick it up and after he died he would take care of his fruits and kill those who come near his orchard."
