한국사람들이 신년운수를 보기 위해 토정비결을 찾는 것처럼 독일사람들은 납점을 본다. 납[鉛]으로 점(占)을 보는 것이다.
방법은 간단하다. 납을 수저 위에 올려 촛불로 녹인다. 납이 녹으면 그걸 찬물에 붓는다. 납은 물에서 급히 굳으면서 부정형의 모양을 만들어 내는데 그걸 보고 새해운세를 점치는 것이다. 밑에 동영상 붙여 뒀으니 보시라.
굳은 납의 모양은 예측불허로 금강산 일만이천봉의 가짓수보다 많게 마련이다. 배와 새는 행운의 징표다. 포크는 분쟁을 알려주며, 교수대가 보이면 나쁜 친구를 조심해야 한다. 70세 이상 포함, 미혼자들은 벌 모양이 나오면 좋아한다. 결혼을 기대해볼 수 있기 때문이다.

독일사람들은 ‘흔히’ 나오는 모양을 대개 1천 가지 안팎으로 분류한다. 전문가 아니면 이걸 다 기억할 수 없다. 그래서 시중에는 미니 해설서도 판매된다.
사실 토정비결이건 납점이건 어차피 믿거나 말거나다. 하지만 올 한해, 우리 민주-진보 진영에는 좋은일만 억수로 많이 생겼으면 좋겠다. 민주를 개 취급하고, 진보를 돼지 취급하는 무리에게는 나쁜일만 골라 생기면 좋겠다.
아, 마지막 말은 취소. 그냥 우리에게 좋은일 생기게 해주시면..... 어차피 우리에게 좋은일은 그들에게 나쁜일이지 뭐, 랄랄라~.

심심하신 한국인들은 촛물 떨어뜨려 해보셔요. lead is poisonous, so now small pieces of tin, or pure wax (for example a beeswax candle or store bought silver colored wax shapes) are used; both are harmless, melt at a lower temperature than lead and work just as well.

유래
Invented in ancient Greece Molybdomancy, today's Bleigießen, is a popular New Year fortune telling tradition in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Nordic countries. The Romans brought it to Europe, as so much else, and they really did pour lead into water. "Bleigießen" is literally "lead pouring".
